Well, for the Month of October, we had 12 challenges to complete at Scrappin-n-Chattin on Yahoo Groups. I can't get yahoo to cooperate and upload my photos, so I am putting them all on this blog post!
The first challenge was to use arrows in a layout - So I did this layout of Pugsley hiding in his toybox with his toys.
Page 1 - Where's Pugsley?
Page 2- In his toybox - (using two arrows):
The next challenge was to use flowers in a layout. For this challenge, I used fabric flowers that I created using my die cutting machine. The photo mat and tag are also fabric.
The next challenge was to use scallop edges. I created this scallop circle by hand for this layout.
Next we needed to use polka dots. I made a circle using polka dot papers to highlight this wonderful photo of me in bed. LOL
The next challenge was bling, and my Happily Ever After layout had the bling and sparkle. I used colored bling to highlight the prima flowers. I also love the glimmer and sparkle of the papers I used. They have soft glitter highlights. The buttons, pearls and laces all say sparkle to me.
The next challenge was to use the word "Believe". I knew this had to be a Christmas layout. The quote on the page says Believe, Believe, Believe, (and on and on):
The next challenge was for no photo. I decided to document all of the crazy Puggle songs I have made up since we adopted Pugsley. Page one has the title and some pictures of our guy. Page Two is decorated with envies, cards, papers, ribbons and inks. The songs are on the reverse of each card.
Now to do a challenge of a great person in our lives. I did a two page layout of two of my favorite pictures of my dad.
The next challenge was to use brads ( at least 6 ) I used 2 sets of three pawprint brads on this page showcasing my beloved boxer, Ruger.
The next challenge was to use bracket(s) in a layout. For this challenge I used brackets by Thickers to showcase the frehsman picture of my stepson Noah.
The next challenge was Halloween. These are photos from the first Halloween Joe and I spent together.
And the last challenge was to use portraits in a layout. I used two of Noah's senior portraits to complete this two page spread.
And that concludes my challenge layouts for October! I am still working on second pages for a few of these layouts, but I am not sure I will have them completed by tonight's deadline for the challenge. Either way, I feel like a winner! I love having more completed pages in our albums! Thanks for all of the challenges, Abby!!
